I have made my own awning also and it's not hard. Followed instructions from several posts here on the forums and it came out well. I should have it on the trailer in a couple of weeks and will post pics also.
By the way....have you joined the local chapter of the Vintage Airstream Club? If not, we sure would welcome you!
