I don't think you have a thermocouple problem.
Since you have an older Argosy, the burner and it's oriface gets dirty.
You must remove both of those, clean them, and then reinstall the parts.
If that fixes the problem, you owe me coffee.
Also, you will need to clean the reefer flue, to remove the rust and dirt.
