Custom built would be the way to go

To start with....what was it that you didn't like about the old cabinets?
Knowing that would help steer you into a good design for the new ones.

Is storage place more important than living space?

We don't really like the overhead cabinets we have. She says it makes her feel closed in. I don't like the weight that high, and I am always bumping my head. But we need the storage space. Maybe a tall formica counter,
similiar to a bar would work well (with no overhead cabinets). Prepare food or eat at it, with plenty of storage under neath. Leaving the camper with the openess of empty head room.

Take a look at the photos of my 60s diner Galley. And maybe someone will help find pictures of Sneakinup's custom kitchen that he made. It takes a while to sift through his many photos to find his kitchen.
