Sorry Ken and other WBCCI Boosters-
I knew I was going to upset people by pointing to "another" club over WBCCI but I wanted to explain why that "other" club got me and WBCCI didn't. Isn't feedback like that good? Not passing judgement just feedback from a fence sitter.

As for spending $70 (+ rally fee) on something just to see if it fits is hard for me to do. I know the National rally is open to non-WBCCI members but that date or location just hasn't worked out me yet. I want to go when it gets to the west again. I investigated WBCCI as much as I could in the past to see if it was for me but my impressions told me to join when I was retired and ready to caravan. Seems like other people have this impression too so if it is a wrong impression then WBCCI should do something to change the impressions people get from the "outside". Impressions from outside the "circle" are important if you want those new members. It is just hard to join the circle if you don't feel it is for you.

But I did finally decide to attend the regional rally this year and hopefully the Newberry Crater, OR Rally in August so I went to the WBCCI web site to join. That was in early December and still waiting to hear from the local unit. As for that "other" club, I signed up last week and have now have been a member for days. Meanwhile, I guess I'll have to call the WBCCI local unit myself to request again the reg packet be sent to me. Something wrong there...

And as for the web, it is the future and it is now. I hope that the attitude of WBCCI isn't that the web is "impersonal" and not worth a good website. That would turn off many young potential members. I LOVE the web and prefer to do ALL (i.e. paying for memberships) my business on it!
