Mystery Vegi?

We regularly pitch vegi scraps into our flower bed with tomato plants and other various things sprouting up. This year we have a mystery vine.
I thing it may be some sort of squash but we are unable to identify it. Its about 7 inches long and 5 or so in diameter. Its yellow and has some white specs on it. I have attached the leaf pic as well. It has yellow blooms to. Anyone able to tell us what it is? It may even be ready to pick but we don't know.
