This is how I did it. Try to take out the faux walnut trim without breaking it (you probably will, but can glue it back together) on the vertical aluminum extrusion on the right corner of the counter. Drill out the rivets and remove the extruded aluminum. This will give access to the track.
I also cut the tambour into 2 equal lengths so that the whole piece does not have to go into the spiral track. The longer the tambour the more likely problems are to occur.
