I tow with my 1991 Caprice Wagon. I have done a few upgrades...
It started off with the factory tow package. This includes an auxiliary oil cooler and a larger radiator and trans cooler. Also towing gears etc...
I upgraded the coil springs on all four corners and removed the load level in shocks and went with Monroe sensatrac shocks. Also, I had a 10,000 LBS trans cooler installed with the trans rebuilt (recently) with a heavy duty commercial kit.
Finally I had commercial rims with 235/70R15 Michelin LTX load range C tires put on all four corners.
People think I am nuts, but it does the job. My mileage is about 8-9 with the trailer in tow. The thing handles like a dream. I was using my 1993 Caprice sedan before, but I am much happier with the wagon.
