Last Tuesday in the chat room we were discussing where we live. I think its great that I can be in my living room in Northern California and
chat in real time with Jerry in No. Carolina and Sam in Florida. There were others that came and went during the night. Anyway we thought it might be interesting if you were to just go out in the front yard, snap a picture and post it. I know thousands of people pass through my town of Chico every day and just keep on going, never seeing the beauty we are blessed with. I volunteered to start so here goes.
I live in a canyon between two towns. The towns are Chico (home of Sierra Nevada beer) and the town of Paradise CA. Directly across from my house is a spot called "Lookout Point". It is a cliff rising several hundred feet up. At the top there is a road. People used to drive up there and then over the cliff. In the last several years, 52 people have taken their own lives there. Recently the County bought the property, removed all of the cars and installed huge boulders and a fence. It is now a viewing area. If you look closely you can see parts of the fence.
