You might consider fixing the tambour doors in place if you are not painting or refinishing them. you can install new fabric or canvas on the back with them in place sometimes. It may be easier than removing and replacing them. If you do, try the brush on contact cement, rather than the spray on. It's really hard to get that stuff out of your hair!
