As a newby (first pull in the new trailer) going from High Point, NC to San Antonio, TX, and return, I learned about Wally World and Flying J. It is rather nice to be able to just stop and go back into the trailer and sleep. What I learned is that a diesel engine idling next door (Flying J) manages to mask a whole lot of noise which was present in Wally World's lot due to the teen age cruisers with their mega base sound systems. I also learned that I want a big diesel truck so I can carry enough fuel to go 400+ miles before stopping. 10 1/2 - 11 1/2 mpg in my Cayenne does not allow much cruising range and the torque curve is so high on a gas engine it is constantly shifting down to 5th in a frontal wind, which I had both directions. So, I love the Airstream and plan on many days of camping/boondocking, etc.
