please consider the new wireless technology such as a laptop with a wireless printer. it gives a lot more options.
what kind of workspace do you need?
how many things do you need 'at hand' such as books or files of paper?
will you need to have space available for a second person in the office area?
do you want to be able to leave things out or is putting things away at every meal ok?
those answers will narrow your choices to suit you best.
