soapy water in a spray bottle... very important. Check every fitting when you put gas to it. I actually do it every time I go out, makes me feel safe about the propane. I will bet a buck once the gas line is fixed, your Dometic will fire right up. I love the fact that these 62 Internationals are totally functional on propane only. Do you still have the International furnace? Mine didn't fire up, but is was a rust bucket due to the salon windows leaking. Yeah, that is another spot to look into. Under the furnace....
The cool thing about these units is you get to learn a bunch of new skill sets in the process. Make sure to buy the tube bender as well as the flaring tool. Being able to make a bend without a kink is worth the small investment. I would also suggest you blow out the propane lines while you have the piece off. There was most likely water in the line and that caused the split. Disconnect the Humphrey's lamp and blow it out. It actually might be worth going from fixture to fixture. I know Tim Sheppard had some serious black goo come out of his lines when he did his 1960 Ambassador.
