And in looking around at them in dealers' lots, I see that some of them are now beginning to sport a small window, almost in the roof, in other words, well above where the standard windows are. Can they be added? They give a lot more light, while maintaining privacy. What a great idea!

Hi. I'm a newbie here as well. I tried to stay true to the period with my 1962 16' Bambi, but used some nicer hardware for the cabinets, and made a cut-out in the kitchen cabinet to accommodate a convection oven. The trailer as found had a deck (and ladder - possibly to hang bikes) added onto the back. I cut off the ladder and kept & reinforced the deck, to have an aluminum box bolted onto it for a Honda 2000i generator. When boondocking, I can take the generator out & put it far enough away so I don't hear the noise - it's secured with a long length of airplane wire, looped at the ends for a lock. Also the catalytic heaters are not allowed in Canada. A small ceramic electric heater works well. The changes made can be reversed.
Did start with a Bambi somebody had messed with some - I think I have the wiring changed back to close to original. Some other little things too.
What do you think of my restoration so far? Any suggestions/ideas?
