I just checked out their web site, Sit on tops are pretty much for the beginner, novice. Many rentals are sit on tops.
Their line of recreational kayaks are pretty beamy for their length and appear to be flat bottomed, this would indicate stability, good for a novice.

you didn't indicate your use intentions, so I would recommend trying one out.Most outfitters have demo days in the spring, and their suppliers bring their line of boats for you to try,
This is a great way to investigate your needs, comfort zone, etc.
Once you get into it you will find that you will want more than one boat!!
