the op has a 23 inch high receiver...

this is MORE that an 8 inch bar will accommodate...

the 2008 FORD SUPERDUTY 4x4 also has this height on the receiver...

the only OFF track suggestion is to modify a 50-100,000$ trailer when other hitch options exist...

or suggesting a/s is looking into this, or that it's ge'em issue ...

there will be LOTS of folks with this issue on NEW TOW VEHICLES...

while the hitch vendor that IS the subject of the thread is ignoring this issue.

if the hitch cannot be used safely and without altering the trailer or tow vehicle...

and the maker suggests it's someone else's problem, spend the 3,000 $ on some other approach.
