the paint on my spring bars has held up MUCH better than the stuff on the NON moving haha bits...

in fact the spring bars still look GREAT and were NOT part of the repaint job...

probably because the spring bar vendor paints them before haha get's 'em.

i agree there would be issues with a super thick coating but a rubberized surface on the main body might be a good thing...

my haha has been repainted and the jacks/spring bars are NOT the problem areas...

the flaking, chipping, fade and general haha paint failure are limited to the main body and brackets.

there are plenty of paint posts in the 'haha users' thread and some great shots of primer/paint and coatings..

NOW that it is covered with a/s spec'd paint, i carry 2 cans and touch it up as needed.
