How little did I know that my above words were prophetic..
we are 90 miles west of Chicago and last Wednesday we got THIRTEEN inches of snow.
Gary went up on our roof at the shop, which is flat, to check the drain and make sure it wasn't iced over. He then attempted to remove ice and snow from the coping around the edge of the roof, and his ladder slipped out from under him. He rode the ladder down the side of the buiding.. about 18 feet, and his feet were stuck in the ladder. He hit the ground very hard, and the only LUCKY part is that it was feet first instead of head first.
