AllenH, if you are going to Big Bend, the #1 Priority should be taking a guided canoe trip up the Santa Elena Canyon. we used Big Bend River Tours,
Big Bend River Tours and had a young man as a guide, whose father is the Park Geologist. Besides getting a first class tour of the canyon, we got a first class tour of the park on the way....ask for him.
