Here is a rather "mystery" post... 60's 30 ft. Airstream... $2800... located Auberry (Fresno, CA area...) Would be nice if they gave more information!

Barry -

Did you ask for pictures? That would definitely be interesting to see.

No I didn't GP. I'm afraid to if you get my drift. Hey, it might be a thing of beauty, but...............just in case it isn't I didn't want to have difficult dreams for the next few nights. Sometimes you can hear the anguished cry of aluminum being cut and it's so painful .

It seems many early Caddies and Airstreams were converted and now car collectors and Airstream collectors look, shake their heads, and ask "what were they thinking?"

We got snookered by the guy in WA with the '50 trailer We placed two calls; no return call as of yet. Tonight I read through this thread and see that's he's done this B4. Very disappointing when someone tugs at your heartstrings like that! GP, you look like the supersleuth! And Barry, thanks for the info you sent my husband earlier today. We'll keep on the lookout, but if anyone finds a 1950s FC (preferably pre-'58) in need of a loving home, let us know! ps - we've posted in the 'wanted' section.

I do. The morbidly curious part of me wants to see it, but there is always the fear of "what were they thinking". being the outcome.

It would appear to be someone's version of an early Park Model. It looks reasonably well done for what it is. I'm sure someone might collect these things but I was thinking what a great parts trailer for someone trying to get that era appliances, etc. It would be like towing a brick down the road though.

just tried reverse look up and its listed as private. Was thinking someone could just knock on the door and make an offer, but that doesn't look like an option either!

I've talked with him previously, tried to get an address so I could do a drive by - didn't work. He just says it's located in CDA and then discourages you from buying?

Sounds like his wife wants him to get rid of it and he doesn't want to let it go. So he posts the ad and tells the wife that no one wants to buy.

I think that is it! He's brilliant! I was gonna say that someone should post an ad on craigslist for $100 for anyone who can successfully broker the deal with this guy for a price of $650 or less.
