Aluminum galore...floating and to sleep in
Time really flies, it seems like we just got back from Falluminum! We forgot to make our reservations for Springstream until thankfully AMerryCan reminded me. My wife and I will be staying in B2. Close enough to Mario's to slip over in the morning in PJ's to get expresso! If I can talk my wife into driving a second vehicle (not likely) or possibly get a friend to, I'll bring my '59 Feathercraft too. Hopefully we can tow it up with one of our old cars. Although it is a working boat, there is much to do to it to make it presentable and unfortunately i've got many other projects I'm working on. My biggest problem is that with the water restrictions, it makes it hard to strip the anodizing off the boat. Considering it's size, hopefully polishing will be easier than the airstream was.

I hear you on that, its hard to keep the cars clean , let alone the trailer. But I am saving rain water so hopefully I can use some of that .

Featherstream '08
Sure Ron....bring them on. Between all the boats there, even if mine isn't up to snuff, I'm sure someone's will be. A-Merry-Can is trying to help me find a vintage engine for mine. I think I can complete the rest of the strip and polish by then...although I may be being optimistic.
See link below for Ron participating in another sport....

Looks like rain today should really put the water level up there.
Still raining here in Alabama.
Is the water warm enough in April for water sports?
If so, will bring the banana.

Should be tolerable... mid-50s water temp. If the sun is out, that's not too bad. And good fishing if anything like last April's report.
GON.com - Chatuge April 2007 Fishing Report - Georgia Outdoor News
Chatuge April 2007 Fishing Report By GON Staff Chatuge: Level: 6.9 feet below full pool. Temp: Mid 50s on the main lake; 58-60 back in the pockets. Clarity: Clear.
Bass: Mountain-lake fishing guide Nathan Lewis said Chatuge is red hot right now. A recent fishing tournament on the lake was won with five largemouths that weighed 27.15 pounds. The angler was Heath Pack of Morganton. Nathan said he has been catching 15 to 30 fish a day with a Shad Rap being a primary bait. He caught a 5.4-lb. spot recently, and a 7 1/2-lb. largemouth. The largemouth hit a spinnerbait on wood back in a pocket. “The spots have moved up on main-lake points, and they are starting to filter back into the pockets.” Nathan thinks some of the spots will be on bed on the April 2 full moon. If you are targeting largemouths, Nathan recommends slowing down with a jig ’n pig, worm or a spinnerbait on wood structure back in the pockets.

Ron and Brenda, congratulations on blessing number 8! Nathan is precious. He looks like a PizzaChop, as he should. I can see the family resemblance, even looking a bit like Kevin. He's a keeper!
