Well, I'm back inside warming up after a little boat disassembly. I've discovered:
1) The boat was originally painted a metallic copper color.
2) The floor is solid, but still needs to come out so I can check the stringers
3) The transom is completely rotten. Ew! I kind of suspected that revelation was coming though. Can't be any worse than replacing the floor on the Caravel, and I get to work on it inside the garage (instead of outside on the gravel pad where the Caravel sits). I'm trying to look on the bright side - How am I doing?
