I picked up the 61 Evinrude for my 61 playmaster. I know nothing about boats or outboards, but I liked that the motor matched the year of the boat, and it was pretty cool looking. Unfortunately I got a long shaft and I need a short shaft, but I guess I can figure out what to do about that later. I'm just slowly accumulating parts. I've gotten a few nice things off ebay too, like a vintage steering wheel, an air-driven speedometer (anyone know how those are supposed to work) and a compass in a nice guage panel, and a cool looking rocket-shaped bow light. I think it's more fun shopping for the boat than actually working on it
