Thanks for the input feathercraft addicts. I have thrown some more questions at the ebay seller regarding the boats condition, dings, dents, holes, etc so we shall see. The caddy cone taillights would be real cool and my local grocer carries tons of easy off.
I think it is a 58' "Hawk II" like this one pictured that retailed for $675 with the annodized finish:

Althought the trailer is yellow with red fenders, it doesnt look like any of the Gator models I have found on various links - cant see a tilting mechanism (it actually looks like it is a bit small for the boat's size)
Have you guys ever seen one of these boats pull a skier? In 59' they offered a "Ski-Bo" model with the same basic dimensions and motor size (45hp) designed for pulling skiers with the open transom. Not planning on pulling a pyramid or anything but would love to take the kids and wife out for a ski from time to time!
OK I am officially hooked - klattu and merry can please send me $100 each for the cost of rehab or free restoration advice for 1 year....Or a life size poster of Wonder Woman will suffice....
