If the battery in the water is low, does that mean it won't work anymore?

THE WATER level is very important..If you let it get too low, there's a good chance of ruining it. (Meaning, it will not hold a charge.) You can usually expect about 2 to 3 years of service with a properly cared for battery. If you find that you have to replace it..You do have numerous options. 1. Just replace it. 2. Replace the univolt/Converter with a more modern version. The cost is nearly the same except, you will get much better control over the charging cycle because of the electronics. 3. Do number 2 and, replace the batteries with the AGM types. They cost more but...they will take a deep discharge and, charge cycle better. translated..the AGM is more forgiving.
It's very important to remember to disconnect the batteries when not in use.
BTW, AGM are sealed battery.
Here's an excellent website on batteries and the care of..

Battery charger that's a perfect replacement..

i see we have a new forum subsection...
"fun and games"
http://www.airforums.com/forums/f472/
great idea and so is moving the threads that FIT it...
looks like lots of moving into the section the last few days.
but just randomly moving 'off topic' stuff there isn't so wise.
for example THIS THREAD!!!
it didn't start as a game and some days it's NOT FUNNY!
-this thread is about tangential thinking.
-occasionally has useful info...
-sometimes technical questions even get answered...
-there are photos, good links, history and poetry...
-it's an artist's thread and involves quantum leaps in logic, thoughs and the imagination.
-lastly it is regularly used to post comments/responses/related thoughts...
that could be considered HIJACKING if place in the thread that precipitated the reply.
so, IT IS off topic sure,
BUT IT AIN'T NO GAME!!!!
put the cheese back please.
it's really easy to id a game thread but this one defies all current categories.
cheers
2air'
perhaps we need a subforum for 'sports' too...
but would the axle/tire threads go in the 'games' or 'sports' section?
and so on...

Hey CA Streamer
RE: post #434 At first I thought it was the dog talking to me.
Your avatar freaked me out. Took me a few seconds to figure out what it was. Almost as bad as this:
