Good find on the vintage awning! Have you finalized your plans for the interior layout yet? My '54 Flying Cloud has the same interior layout (with kitchen in the front and side dinette) except we have twin beds in the rear instead of the double bed.
Thanks!

While peeling back the layers of the onion, we discovered that Birdy originally did have twins. The double layout she had when we got her was obviously retrofit. We found attchement holes and marks on the floor from twins. So we will be restoring to the original twins configuration.

We feel we are very close to the end of the destruction stage...just about ready to start moving forward instead of backwards.

The only remaining demo is to strip the paint from the upper half of the interior. Then we start reassembling from the floor up and other ammenities can be addressed.
