Eric and all,
I was unable to attend the Midwest rally because my Caravel
has been in the shop for over a month waiting for parts from a well known vintage parts dealer on the left coast.
It would seem that though they have the parts ... the haven't been able to get them out the door and shipped in anywhere near a timely fashion.
I was optimistic that It would be ready for the rally, but excuses
and missing shipments seemed to be the ongoing theme.
I am still waiting going on 5 weeks now. The sad thing is that
I recommended to the shop that they get the parts from this
dealer.
Oh well ... live ... learn .... wait .... then pay ...
I would hope that I will be ready when another rally is arranged.
Names have been left out to protect the innocent ... for there are many sides to every story. This is not an invitation for explaination on the part of any of the involved parties .....
simply a statement of why I could not attend a rally that I had
kicked off the idea for.
