The basics of adding an image to the end of a post:
1. Use your computer's photo handling software to crop or resize until you have about a 600 x 800 pixel image. Use "Save As" from the File menu and save it to your desktop or into a folder of your choice; using "Save" will destroy the original computer-stored image recorded by a camera or scanner.
2. Enter your text in the composition window (either at starting thread or posting reply). Don't click submit reply yet... Below the submit reply button click on the "Manage Attachments" button. A small window will open; click the top 'Browse' button, find and select the image you saved. Click the top 'Upload' button (it shouldn't be hard to figure out what the 2nd upload button is for). Once uploading is done, the photo file name will appear. You can add more than one image by clicking the 2nd 'Browse' button, and so on. Some people have had trouble with their computer or broadband connection if they add more than 3-4 images to a post; simply start another post if you have more pics. Close the small 'Manage Attachments' window when done; you should see your photo filenames in the 'Manage Attachments' area below the composition window. I have followed this same process in attaching an image to the end of this post.
3. If you're ready to go, click 'Submit Reply' and enjoy the results. If a major problem is immediately apparent you can edit your post in the first five minutes. Click 'Edit,' then 'Go Advanced' and make any changes. PM any moderator if you have a problem or can no longer edit; we can do it for you.
Inserting images between text paragraphs is more involved and I won't confuse you with two sets of instructions. The above technique is very effective; eg, see

[on edit: Hmm... I'm only seeing the image link and not the image below this post; might be my 'puter settings with the latest Microsoft update... but the link works anyway of course.]
