Technology changes with time.
So have the univolts. They have improved many times over.
Unfortunately, some prefer to compare a charging system such as the inteli-power, which is somewhat new on the market, to a univolt of yesteryear.
That's like saying my new 30 inch flat screen television set is better than your old GE that has a round metal 9" picture tube.
I think comparing apples to apples is evry fair. Comparing and apple to an avacado, isn't.
Rebuilt Magnateks are not available. Rebuilt Inteli-power chargers are.
Does someone really want a charging system that failed in warranty and then rebuilt? Most people don't.
As with most anything, you get what you pay for.
