| How possible is a 2008 Olympics Rally in Beijing?
Reading the Capetown to Cairo thread was a lot of fun and I started imagining other things.
Like the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.
How cool would it be, if I were in charge of all things necessary, to strike a deal with the Olympic Committee to sponser/escort the torch run with an airstream as the official support vehicle. The designated Airstream following the runner, in turn, would be supported/trailed by other airstreams participating.
From Shanghai to Beijing perhaps, or some shorter distances with an ok from the Olympic Committee.. US/Chinese/Int'l..
Then I'll have an International Airstream Village set up near one of the venues. PARTY ON!
Publicity, goodwill, support for the US team, all seem to come together nicely under the international spotlights.
Seems safer too, and possibly opening up an export market, somewhere in Asia.
Just a thought as I row my boat gently down the (air)stream, merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily.
