Wow... you guys are too kind! I really just wanted everyone to know why I was stepping aside as a mod...
We "moved in" to the new trailer today. I wasn't going to talk about the new trailer, but since there's so much interest in what we got to replace the Behemoth, I'll fill you all in.
We bought a new '06 Bigfoot 25RQ. We paid roughly half of what a new 25' Classic Airstream runs. The cabinetry in the Bigfoot is a mix of the quality of the Safari and Classics. Everything else is top quality.
It is a front couch model with a removeable pedestal table with a sliding table top. It's a two-piece fiberglass shell with the only seam being the belly band. It's got R8 foam insulation between the inner and outer shells; dual thermopane windows; and the tanks are heated and insulated. The belly is full fiberglass. It's dry weight as equipped is 5300 lbs. It's a rear island queen. It's essentially hail-proof, and it's rounded just enough that it tows very similarly to Airstream.
Here are some photos of it for your perusal! Please excuse the junk lying about... we were still finding homes for all of the stuff when I took the photos.
Roger
