Has anyone removed wall mirrors?

I have 2 mirrors over the credenza on the end of the pantry/microwave cabinet. They are mounted on the textured white wallboard. I believe that they may be mounted with some sort of double-sided tape. There have been some complaints on the forum in the distant past about similar mirrors falling off.

Has anyone removed these mirrors? If so, can it be done without badly marring the wallboard behind them.

We now have the flat-panel TV on the credenza, but it has become the favorite lounging place for the cat and it is very hard to see through her. I would like to permanantly mount the TV higher, but there is insufficient wall space with both mirrors in place.
