Been to many of these

I have been to several of these, but I know that the Texas Department of Wildlife actually runs many of the campgrounds. Some, like Ray Roberts, are booked well in advance.

Just as a note on Lake Ray Roberts, if you do go there and have to use your tote tank, the Isle Du Bois campground has a dump site, but it is a very, very long way from the camping areas. I melted my wheels on the tote tank taking it to the dump even though I was going very, very, very slowly. It is just toooooo far for those plastic wheels.

Texas is great, though. A lot of wonderful campgrounds and sites to see.
