Hi folks: I lived in Virginia for 20 years and fished and hunted all over. You have the George Washington National forest that you can boon dock in. It is just huge and very primitive as well. Roaming those mountains I have come across old plantations that have gone into decay and old stone fences as well as the old Locust siz zag fences that seem to last forever. Lovely area and I miss it.

The only trouble with boon docking is you need some kind of activities to keep busy. I would get bored quickly and have to move on. Have you tried the beaches yet? Chincotique, Assatique, Cape Hatteras? Just great!!
