Not to leave you hanging. The easiest way to replace a tire if you are a tandem axle unit is to run one tire on the same side (assuming you are changing a flat) up on blocks. That raises the bad tire off the ground.

I carry a cross tire wrench, looks like a "+" that has different size lug sizes on three of the four sides. That way I can change tires on the trailer or the tow vehicle with the same wrench.

Hope this helps. Now if you have a single axle trailer its a different story.
