To add insult to injury, if it were not for the big April snows, I would have been able to leave Colorado 3 days earlier and been at our destination instead of sitting in Jackson Mn waiting for the weather to break. Still snowing, 32, and windy in Albert Lea. A 100 mile wide wall that just won't move.

Did the power hook up come with a large retractable reel?
Great picture!

Well, I didn't spend quite as much as Derek but I did managed to snag a new Teleflex fuel economy gauge off of eBay along with a new Teleflex oil pressure gauge.
All told I now have a new speedometer, tachometer, oil pressure, oil temperature, transmission temperature, water temperature and fuel economy gauges. Just need to find a new volt meter and I should be all set for matching Teleflex gauges. Best of all the prices have been dirt cheap
After all the talk about the circuit testers I ordered one as well. I plan on making an adapter for it so it can be used for testing circuits that use glass fuses. Also playing around with it I realized it can be used to determine amperage draw for individual devices. I found that the hall light (two bulbs) draws 1.5 amps, definitely more than I thought they would.
Since my Argosy will likely only have one coach battery I think switching to LEDs will be advantageous.
Brad

How to spend your Settlement Check from insurance company.....
Ok, So I had an 'encounter' with a Drunk Driver last October.
Settlement check came last week, and this is 'part' of what I spent it on.
More to come!
Airstream was in DIRE NEED of 2 new roof A/C's. Kinda figure 24 years is about all I could expect from original units.
Some of the Airstream Motorhomes (possibly some of the trailers) came with what's known as a "Kool-O'Matic" roof-top vent-fan. Thing was almost as huge as a roof A/C unit. It also used up one of the 5 roof vent areas, right at Kitchen/Dinette area. Decided that it was time to ditch that dinosaur and get a Fantastic Fan for that area, and open up another area to more natural light.
Last but not least, you have NO IDEA how hard it is to find Chevy grill emblems for the 454 cu in engine! Internet is a wonderful thing!

Well, these aren't exactly "new" parts but they are parts I needed for my Argosy so I thought I'd add them to the thread
Shepherd57 and I exchanged parts on Saturday. He dismantled a 28' Argosy MH and I dismantled an 86 345.
I'm happy to say I ended up with a good replacement entry door, left rear outer corner skin (and inner skin) to replace my dented section, left rear lower corner molding strip, 1-3/4" rear anti-sway bar and brackets to replace my 1-1/2" bar, rear molded tail light housing with light assemblies, rear center lower skin section and the water fill door assembly to replace my broken one. I also got some needed glass pieces as well.
Needless to say I'm happy with my parts haul

Been busy online lately, 2 buddies coming this Sunday for A/C switch-out.
Found Chevy Motorhome Service Manual for $8.95! Even tho not my year, figure at that price I couldn't let it pass me by.
Been wanting this ladder since I bought Airstream. 12.5 ft tall!
And I've had belt buckle on my wish list forever. Snagged it recently as well.

SWEET!
So where did you find the belt buckle? Are there any markings on it that would suggest who made it?

Ok, as far as belt buckle goes, I kept looking on EBay daily. Figured out how to keep my "Airstream" search saved and receive daily emails for anything Airstream that's listed.
The photo I'm attaching is only marking I could find.
Good Luck, Derek

Few more items arrived this week. Two 50 foot rolls of Eternabond tape to accompany the two 5 foot rolls from earlier. This should stop any leaks along roof seams.
Also found a fan to install at RV fridge. eBay seller had advertised that he had fan AND small solar panel, but that combo is no longer available. Have on order a small solar panel, which should arrive any day now.
Since I have an inline surge protector that was pretty $$$, decided to purchase a Lock Hasp to place over electrical power cord connection cord.

I dropped the end of waste hose while ringing it out at the dump station yesterday. One of the two locking tabs busted off.
I learned that its an obsolete size. Could have ordered one but decided to upgrade it so the new stuff fits. I replaced the gate valve manifold and picked up a new hose kit. Also got rid of that ugly pipe that hung down 6 inches. Don't need a 45 coupler either.
Don't know why the iPad insists on rotating my photos from how they ere displayed in my album

MORE is better
After running out of Vulkem while installing A/C unit last weekend, I decided on Monday that I'd never get caught in that situation again.....

Progress at last!
Complete new interior soft furnishings now in place. Management very happy. Comprises four Fainsa America seats, settee and cockpit flex steels recovered in original Douglas Scott Routemaster Moquette with matching Burgundy leather panels throughout. This was the original fabric and leather combination used on London Routemaster buses.

All done by one of England's premier vintage bus trimmers. Looks fabulous - first trip out this week. Pictures to follow.
Oh, and, at last, I've managed to get hold of my missing centre arm for the Zipdee.

Fuel!
Must be a glut in the Diesel market! Prices have been lower or the same as regular and as much as 70 cents lower than premium.
We've been leisurely traveling the back roads at 55 with nice tail winds. Got 13 mpg on the last tank. Today we hit interstate 94 cruising at 75 to get where we gotta be. I'm guessing we'll see about 11 on this tank if we are lucky!
